The Dakota SWCD Tree Sale provides the opportunity for landowners to purchase high quality bare root seedlings at a low cost for urban, suburban, and rural conservation purposes, such as windbreaks, reforestation, erosion control, privacy, and food and cover for wildlife.
The trees for sale will be native to Minnesota and found in Dakota County, including conifers, hardwoods, small trees, and shrubs.
Program Details
- Tree stock will be available for pick-up in the spring, dates TBD, at the Dakota County Fairgrounds in Farmington.
- All trees are bare root and sold in species specific bundles, or in a Wildlife Bundle of mixed species. Prices TBD prior to the sale.
- Bare root sizes range from 7″ to 24″.
- Additional tree supplies are priced separately.
- All prices will include sales tax.
- Dakota County residency is not required.

- The trees are for conservation purposes and are not to be resold.
- The Dakota SWCD reserves the right to limit quantities.
- The Dakota SWCD is not responsible for the condition of live plant stock after the scheduled pick-up days, and provides no guarantee for its condition or survival.

- Order your trees online and pay with a debit or credit card without leaving the SWCD website!
- Tree orders will be accepted until inventory runs out.
- We will send a postcard along with an email with tree pick-up instructions.
