LCW Registration is Open
Dakota SWCD Landscaping for Clean Water registration is open. The LCW program is for Dakota County residents which includes free educational classes, garden design courses, a shoreline and garden maintenance workshop, and grants for homeowners that install a raingarden, native garden, or native shoreline planting. The goal of the Landscaping for Clean Water program is to teach residents how to beautify their yard while also protecting local water quality and providing habitat for pollinators.
LCW Offerings include:
- in-person and online Introduction to Clean Water class options
- in-person and online Design Course options
- an additional class offering for residents who have Shoreline to protect or enhance with native plantings
- Grants available for Dakota County Residents who install a native, rain or shoreline garden as outlined in the program
