The Dakota County Soil and Water Conservation District is seeking to fill a vacancy on its Board.  The District 3 Board position has become vacant due to a recent resignation.

If you are interested in natural resource conservation, soil health and protecting water quality consider becoming a Board member of the Dakota County Soil and Water Conservation District.  The existing Board will appoint an individual to serve until December 31, 2024.

Board members must live within the District they represent.  The area currently vacant is District 3 which covers the City of Eagan, and the north portion of Apple Valley to include precincts 5, 7, 8, 9 and 10.

Board members are responsible for setting the policy and program direction for the Soil and Water Conservation District.  Specific responsibilities include attending one monthly Board meeting, plus additional committee meetings and regional events.  Board members do not receive a salary however they are paid a per diem plus expenses.
