EDUCATION

Environmental Education is a high priority for the Dakota County SWCD. Teachers, parents and students will find creative, hands-on programming here.

LANDSCAPING FOR CLEAN WATER

Through partnerships with Dakota County cities and local watershed organizations, we offer classes, workshops, grants and technical assistance for installing residential raingardens, native gardens and shoreline plantings.

LAWNS RE-IMAGINED

The Lawns Re-Imagined Program makes it easy to convert your lawn. You are given the information, planning and design help, onsite technical assistance, and free seed for your project. From start to finish, you are guided to your new lawn, RE-IMAGINED!

WALK-IN ACCESS (WIA)

Walk-In Access (WIA) provides public recreational opportunities on private land and rewards land-owners for keeping their land in high quality habitat.

EQUIPMENT RENTAL

The Dakota County SWCD has several pieces of equipment available to rent for landowners in Dakota County.

INCENTIVES

Along with planning, designing and installing various environmental projects, the Dakota County SWCD provides cost share assistance for rural and urban landowners and municipalities.
